Quiche Pastry





Fall finally start, beautiful color of trees the weather is  becoming cooler ,
There is something is in the air ,sometime I think the creator change those weather ,so we don’t get bored . just like weather human being have a taste buds which change too. And so our liking and disking ,sometimes we want one thing everyday ,there is times that we want a change believe me if you  want  a change try this recipe there is something special about this recipe and don’t forget to share it with good friends


Quiche Pastry
6servings
Prep time.40 minutes



Ingredients:
1-cup all-purpose flour, plus extra for dusting and rolling
4-tablespoons butter
1-tablespoon canola oil
4-tablespoons ice cold water
 
Filling:
3-tablespoons milk
4 eggs
½-cup Cheddar or Swiss cheese, grated
4-tablespoons goat cheese
Salt and pepper
3 green onions, finely diced 
¼-cup steamed asparagus, diced
¼-cup fresh baby spinach, diced
 ½-cup left over chicken or minced meat, cooked

 
 
Directions:
Quiche:
Combine flour, butter, and oil in mixing bowl.  Mix with hands until mixture resembles corn meal.  Slowly add cold water in small increments to help form dough.  Roll dough in plastic wrap and keep in refrigerator until ready to bake.  Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.  (Gas Mark 6, 200°C).

Combine milk, eggs, cheese, salt, pepper, onions, asparagus, and spinach in medium bowl.  Mix well to blend.  Roll dough into 9-inch circle or according to your pan size.  Arrange meat onto crust.  Slowly add egg mixture.  Bake quiche for 25 to 30 minutes or until the filling is set, firm, and golden brown.  Serve immediately.

As long as I remember I love cooking and feel happy when I cook something which others buy from the store .and that’s why I love making jam jellies and fruit spreads and sauces in home. My family ,relatives and friends know that  it’s never a work for me but it’s a hobby which is very dear to my heart. and all this start from my mom plum jam and my sister mehnaz mango jam .as a child a adore home made jam jellies and marmalades .

After I come to America I make plum jam every year in the season and give it free to my friends and family and every body loved it .and many give me the idea to start jam company after thinking ask everyone take all the help ,me and my friend majidah we start a new fruit preserving company called {A.M orchard preserves  }and we sell organic and regular jam jellies marmalade, sauces the homemade style and we do everything by hand all these bottles are handmade with the love and care. 

We also sell local  organic all natural honey .
There are many reason that I want to share it with you which make our product special from store brought jam and jellies  and these reason are .

We don’t add preservatives, chemical or artificial flavors.  

We use less sugar and more fruit.
We try our best the find fruit that are local ,organic or freshly picked.
We make jam in small batches ,and we can customize jam according to your needs .less sugar ,or no sugar let us know

Egg Burger





Egg Burger
This beautiful  burger not only looks impressive but taste good too.
Ingredients:
2 eggs
¼ cup baby spinach Julian
2tbp chopped green onion scallions
2tbsp boiled chopped potatoes
2tsp cheddar cheese
salt and pepper to taste
 2 lettuce leaves
2 slices of tomatoes
 Method:

in mixing bowl combine egg salt and pepper, chopped scallions spinach ,and potatoes and mix well  heat the skillet  and put the round cookie cutter  directly on the skillet, it will be good idea to spray the cookie cutter  before pouring the beaten egg. Pour the egg mixture just to fill it to the top and let it  cook until set  flip it over so both sides have nice golden color  prepare the buns  just like you would do it for any other burger by arranging tomato and lettuce leaves on the top and serve

YEAST DOUGH PARATHA.



                 YEAST DOUGH PARATHA.
Soft milt in your mouth this recipe is easy and tasty. if you don’t like oil just cook it like roti.

 Ingredients

1 cup all purpose flour
1/2-cup whole-wheat flour
3/4-cup water
1/2 tsp yeast
1/4 tsp salt
Oil for frying

METHOD
IN a large mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, salt, and add want little by little and mix with a wooden spoon  to form dough.

Knead the dough. For 10 minutes cover and let it rise.

You can knead the dough in the night and put in refrigerator and roll it in the morning

Then fry them on both sides until golden, serve warm.

Note.

For this yeast paratha, you can get 1 dough ball of everyday naan, and fry it for the first time

Then make more if you like.

Preparation  time:10 minutes plus 1 hour
Cooking time:15

Bek Bek





                                Bek Bek
Simple and easy these pancakes are once my husband favorite, as child and he still like them.
                   
Ingredients:
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/2-cup whole-wheat flour
1 tbsp fennel seeds
1 egg
Chopped walnut optional
1/4 tsp baking powder or 1/2 tsp yeast optional.
1/4-cup brown sugar
1/2-cup milk
Oil for frying
Method:

In mixing bowl whisk egg, milk and sugar until well combine.
Sift flour and baking powder, add to wet ingredients, mix well then add fennel seeds, and mix.


Heat non-stick frying pan and add little oil about 1 tsp for each pancake.
Cook on both sides and serve warm.

Note.
If you are using yeast not baking powder, then whisk milk, sugar and yeast and leave it for 15 minutes then add everything and leave it for another 25 minutes before frying them.
Note. You don’t have to deep-fry it .1tsp oil for each side of Bek Bek is enough .

cinnamon roll



I make cinnamon roll most often for the request of my family. Everyone really likes it I try the heather version but it doesn’t work for me.
I believe butter ,milk and yeast make this bread very soft and yummy ,and this recipe is great for brunch or breakfast for a company .
So here we go today I am giving you the recipe that I am very proud ,because it never disappoints me and I am sharing this with you. 
cinnamon roll
Ingredients:
1-1/4 cup milk warm
1 teaspoon  vanilla sugar or 1 vanilla beam.
1/2 cup butter, room temperature
2 eggs,  beaten
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup sugar
4-1/2 cups  bread flour pulse extra for rolling and dusting.
1 package instant yeast

Cinnamon  Filling:
1/2 cup butter, melted or softened
1 cup firmly-packed brown sugar
4 to 5 tablespoons ground cinnamon

Method:



In a large bowl or in the bowl of a 5-quart stand mixer, combine all the ingredients in the order given except the Cinnamon Filling and the Butter Frosting. Using a dough hook, if using  stand mixer  or just  use wooden spoon and mix everything together until a soft dough forms.
Turn the dough out onto a lightly-floured surface and knead until elastic, approximately 15 minutes. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let rise about 1hour or  until double in size. 
Roll the dough with rolling pin and spread  the filling first the butter then mix brown sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle evenly .
Roll up the dough  and pinch to seal the seams.


Cut the roll in equal size cinnamon rolls and arrange them in to prepped baking tray.

Cover and let it rise for 35 minutes more.
Now bake them for 20 to 25 minutes in preheated oven .

Orange plinapple,peach and mango smoothie




This simple and yummy smoothies are just wonderful  packed with good for you antioxidants, this strawberry smoothie and the pineapple smoothies are my family new favorites.
 
Strawberry  smoothie like a ice cream
ingredients
•1 cup whole milk
•½ cup frozen or fresh strawberries
•1/4 cup strawberry flavor fat free yogurt or strawberry ice cream
•1 banana, broken into chunks
•4 ice cubes
•1tsp honey

Directions
In a blender, combine  milk,strawberries,banana,honey,ice cubes, and yogurt  Blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve

1/2cup sliced fresh pineapple
1cup freshly squeezed orange juice
1  frozen or fresh  peach sliced
¼ cup sliced frozen  mango
4 cubes of ice
put everything together in blender and blend until smooth about 1 minute .add to glass and serve.

basbousa




who doesn’t like coconut and in my family we love coconut and that’s why  after coconut ice cream and coconut cookies I am  making this sweets .if I look back about 12 years back I got this cake recipe from my sister who was student at medical college and her friend  always got this cake from her aunty and she share this cake with all her friends and my sister got the recipe for me because she know that I will love to make it and ever since I make this on and off .I did make few changes like usually it have 1 cup butter and 1 cup sugar and then again 1/2cup sugar in the syrup .
So here you go classic basbousa with a twist hope you will like it.

Ingredients

1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup semolina soji
2 cup descanted coconut
2tsp baking powder
1tsp vanilla sugar
1/4cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2cup canola oil or butter
1/4cup milk
for syrup
1/2cup sugar
1/4cup water
drop of rose water optional
method:


in large mixing bowl mix oil, sugar and eggs for 1 minute.
Add all the dry ingredients flour,soji,and coconut baking powder and vanilla sugar and beat for 1 more minute . Grease the square baking dish  and pour the batter .now bake this in preheated oven for 2 to 30 minutes or until the tooth pick insert come out clean.  Then cut  cake in desire shape  while still in baking dish
cook together the sugar and water until the sugar all dissolved pour over the cake and let it cool completely then serve with extra coconut.

Vegetable and meat omelet

There are some time that you want hardy and filling breakfast and today is that day want to do all those left un complete project including cleaning those wall at the play area were my daughters write abc and change the setting of my room .so I make  this omelet  which was base on the things I have on hand left over minced chicken some vegetables and it was very yummy .
Ingredients:
1/4cup chicken minced
6 asparagus sliced
2 green scallions sliced
salt and pepper according to taste
1 slice of tomato from my left over salad bowl
1tbsp oil
2 eggs beaten
method:

add oil and minced meat to frying pan and stir fry for 1 minute.
Add all the sliced vegetables.
I usually add baby spinach too.
Stir fry for 1 more minute .

Now beat the eggs add salt and pepper and pour stir on low flame just to mix now let it set then fold and serve with salad and slice of bread  and don’t forget the coffee.
