Quiche Pastry





Fall finally start, beautiful color of trees the weather is  becoming cooler ,
There is something is in the air ,sometime I think the creator change those weather ,so we don’t get bored . just like weather human being have a taste buds which change too. And so our liking and disking ,sometimes we want one thing everyday ,there is times that we want a change believe me if you  want  a change try this recipe there is something special about this recipe and don’t forget to share it with good friends


Quiche Pastry

Prep time.40 minutes



Ingredients:
1-cup all-purpose flour, plus extra for dusting and rolling
4-tablespoons butter
1-tablespoon canola oil
4-tablespoons ice cold water
 
Filling:
3-tablespoons milk
4 eggs
½-cup Cheddar or Swiss cheese, grated
4-tablespoons goat cheese
Salt and pepper
3 green onions, finely diced 
¼-cup steamed asparagus, diced
¼-cup fresh baby spinach, diced
 ½-cup left over chicken or minced meat, cooked

 
 
Directions:
Quiche:
Combine flour, butter, and oil in mixing bowl.  Mix with hands until mixture resembles corn meal.  Slowly add cold water in small increments to help form dough.  Roll dough in plastic wrap and keep in refrigerator until ready to bake.  Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.  (Gas Mark 6, 200°C).

Combine milk, eggs, cheese, salt, pepper, onions, asparagus, and spinach in medium bowl.  Mix well to blend.  Roll dough into 9-inch circle or according to your pan size.  Arrange meat onto crust.  Slowly add egg mixture.  Bake quiche for 25 to 30 minutes or until the filling is set, firm, and golden brown.  Serve immediately.
