Fruit bake/apple crisp



Some time we want to enjoy the sweet pies but  due to the fat content  we think again and again .and this happen to me too .I love apple pie and I love this apple bake too because it just taste like apple pie but half of the fat make me happy to enjoy it.
The apple cooked perfectly and the crunchy topping make it so yummy I am hundred percent sure if you make it there will be no left over.  


Fruit bake/apple crisp

Ingredients:
1tbsp sugar
3tbsp orange juice[freshly squeezed]
6 apples cored and peeled and sliced
3 pears,cored,peeled and sliced
 2tbsp apricot jam
topping
½ cup all purpose flour
6tbsp butter
2tbsp oil
1/4cup oats
1/4cup chopped almonds
¼ cup pecans 1tbsp milk
3tbsp brown sugar
for extra crunch ¼ cup garnish with honey bunch of oat cereal.
Method:

Lightly grease oven proof baking dish or pie dish with little oil or butter.
Prepare fruit ,by peeling and cutting then add to large mixing bowl and combine it with 1tbsp sugar, orange juice and apricot jam.
Mix until well combine then pour it in prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
Now make the topping, strain the flour in to separate bowl ,add butter ,oil and brown sugar and rub it with your finger ,until the mixture resembles to bread crumbs.
Add nuts and mix it with spoon sprinkle it with spoon on the to of prepared fruit dish spread evenly and bake it in the preheated oven at 375.f for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown on the top . serve this with yogurt or just by its own.
Variation: I some time add blue berries or any other fruits like strawberries to 
the apple too.
